It is because of this lack of information that people are intrigued by the premise and the glimmer, but confused on what the execution will be. Namely, how a player is supposed to capture a monster or how monster's assist with combat. Moreover, many of the game's mechanics are still unknown. However, only snippets of actually capturing those monsters are available. Much of the footage up to this point has shown the player teaming up with various monsters to take on more enormous monsters like in Monster Hunter Stories 2 in action combat. What was not explained was the main premise of the game, which is monster collecting. Some weapon gameplay was also shown, including a water rocket launcher and a hammer that can grow larger the longer it's charged. Other graphical highlights include the lighting from the day/night cycle and the physics of the water crashing onto the beach. Colorful particles highlight each action when moving. In the new footage, the player character is shown biking, longboarding, skating, swinging, and gliding as a means of traversal. An explanation of how all of these methods of travel work within the game is yet to happen, but it seems that they are remnants of the MMO mounts before the game changed directions. A developer from Pearl Abyss played a few minutes of the game to explore the environment and show off some of the movement and abilities in the DokeV. At Pearl Abyss Connect during G-Star 2019 in Busan, South Korea, Pearl Abyss has lifted the curtains on newly-announced MMORPGs Crimson Desert and DokeV, alongside other titles in MMO-Shooter Plan. Various objects, from tiles in the ground, cliffsides in the environment and even whole buildings from real-world South Korea, are integrated using the scanning tech. This Family-friendly game allows players to collect whimsical creatures called Dokebi. DokeV is a creature-collecting open world action-adventure game by South Korean developer Pearl Abyss. An in-depth report shows new gameplay for the aesthetically cute but still very confusing DokeV from Pearl Abyss. However, it seems that Pearl Abyss is pushing for AAA action-adventure games than MMOs. Pearl Abysss new monster collector game, DokeV, has a bit more of its open-world to show off as the developer showcases how it uses its 3D scanner. Like DokeV, Crimson Desert originally started as an MMORPG like Black Desert. However, the title's delay comes from the developer wanting to implement new ideas for the game. Alongside DokeV, Pearl Abyss is currently developing a new AAA action-adventure game called Crimson Desert.
